Holy crap, these are friggin awesome. I really like the character you have in your designs, especially the Snowman design. I like the interaction between him and the girl. It's very sweet. Keep on posting and enjoy your summer!

These illustrations are beautiful. I love the frankenstein-ish guy with the doll and the UK drummer who appears to be calling it quits. There is a great sense of motion in these works. They tell a good tale.
Aww Heidi, those designs are amazing, the texture is great, ant the proportions and posing of your characters are just perfect. The ombrella lady is my favorite... with her charming look :-)
Hej Heidi! Thank you for visiting my blog :-) and wupti-doodle-di I couldn't leave yours without dropping a comment - these are awesome! I think it is impressive when anyone can use charcoal to their advantage... A tool without a delete-button.
I especially love your christmas carol characters and the big guy who is stuffing himself. Nice work all over :-)
Gorgeous, and I mean gorgeous blog. I love your work. Really unique design with a myriad of styles as well as sophisticated color and design choices. Well done. Keep it up.
Hi, my name is Heidi, I'm a freelance character designer, illustrator, and visual development artist who graduated from the character animation program at the California Institute of the Arts in 2008. I was the character designer and conceptual designer for ParaNorman, and I won an Annie award for my designs in 2013. In 2017, I illustrated my very first picture book, Lovely Beasts: The Surprising Truth, which won the Bull-Bransom Award in 2019 for excellence in the field of children's book illustration with a focus on nature and wildlife. I have also worked as a character designer for Henry Selick at Cinderbiter, The Jim Henson Company, DreamWorks Animation, Warner Brothers Animation, and Sony Pictures Animation. I'm obsessed with music, I love just about everything (except contemporary country music!!!) You'll usually find me either drawing, sleeping, or singing obnoxiously while showering at 3 am, that sums me up quite nicely!
